Every creation begins with a question.
Can you create embroidery from just an idea?
Absolutely. At ThreadToCreate, a sketch, mood board, photograph, or a simple description is enough to get started.
We can draw inspiration from paintings, jewellery, nature, portraits, and unexpected objects, then explore how to bring it to life through hand embroidery.
You could even send us a single thread—just tell us what you’d like us to do with it, and let’s see where the idea takes us.
Do I need to provide samples and patterns?
No. We can develop an embroidery sample from a sketch, image, or idea. If you already have samples, dress patterns, or garment measurements, they help us plan the placement and scale of the embroidery. When the design is already approved, we may be able to move straight to production without a separate sampling stage.
Do I need to supply the base fabric?
Either option works. You can send us your chosen fabric, or we can discuss sourcing a suitable base fabric for the embroidery.
Which fabrics can you work with?
We work with a wide range of materials, including silk, satin, tulle, mesh, organza, leather, stretch mesh, fur, and faux fur.
Which beads, pearls, and crystals do you work with?
We source Akoya beads from Japan, glass and bugle beads from the Czech Republic, and other beads from Indonesia, Italy, and France. We also work with Swarovski crystals.
Can you embroider selected parts of a garment?
Yes. We can work on individual pieces such as sleeves, bodices, collars, and skirt panels. Simply show us where you would like the embroidery placed.
How long does a sample swatch take?
Timing depends on the agreed design and available production capacity. For complimentary samples, we confirm acceptance and the estimated production schedule in writing. Revisions or work outside the agreed scope require a separate agreement; we do not undertake chargeable additional work without your prior approval.
Can I get a cost estimate before placing an order?
Yes. We’ll provide an estimated budget and timeline for your approval before work begins. If the design changes after sampling, we’ll discuss any effect on the cost or schedule with you.
How is shipping arranged and charged?
We can ship through carriers such as DHL, UPS and FedEx, using your shipping account if available. Shipping and delivery are not included in the complimentary sample offer unless expressly agreed in writing. Applicable import duties, taxes, customs-clearance charges and carrier fees are payable by the recipient to the extent permitted by law. Before you commit, we confirm charges payable to us and explain known destination charges; customs or carrier charges may not be known in advance.
How do we get started?
Getting started is simple: send us a sketch, photo, mood board, or idea. Or start with just a thread—it’s in our name, after all! Want to feel the quality first? We’re happy to send physical sample swatches, so you can get to know our work firsthand.
